Best of Seniors 2017

Is this real life? Is 2017 already over? Wait… no it’s not; am I on a prank show? Ok guys, where are the hidden cameras? Does anyone else feel like this? This past year totally flew by! So many great memories from 2017 and so many amazing clients! I wanted to do a recap of my year of seniors and pick out my favorite photos. It was so hard to choose! It was hard enough choosing between each session, but then trying to choose a photo from the session itself was a challenge too.

The photos are a reflection of what I feel is my BEST work based on images that I love the colors, lighting, and that fit my style well. Although sorting through and selecting images is long process, it’s so rewarding to look back over a years worth of photos. In 2017 I was blessed with 2 different teams of spokesmodels and many amazing clients. I’m truly so thankful for all my clients who contributed to making 2017 such a great year and making posts like this possible. January was a fun month where I shot both 35mm film in addition to my digitals. Trevor was a great subject to photograph on film.

It feels like just last month I photographed Brittany… because I did! Her and her sister got photos done for their parents! Love returning clients; always a fun shoot since you already know each other.

This session is near to my heart for many reasons. Gehrig is the son of my former favorite teacher, he also graduated from the same high school I did, and also… the photos came out so great! Plus it’s refreshing to have a male client once in a while; they need graduation photos too.

This session is not easily forgotten! In case you didn’t notice, she brought a horse! YES! Such a fun shoot, plus Hannah did a shoot with her BFF a few weeks later… which was also cute!

Aww you guys! He is my favorite person to photograph! Most of you know my boyfriend, Dylan. He graduated college in 2017 and he asked me to take photos for him!! #honored Ok… this month might be a little biased, shh. But I do love his blue shirt and the lighting! He’s so photogenic!

One of my favorite experiences from 2017 was meeting up with other local creatives and having a low key session and everyone talked and learned from each other. It was quite interesting to see the techniques used by other photographers. That was my first experience with a prism- pretty cool!

4th of July! Yes! One of the best holidays and one of my favorite shoos this year! Sophie is so adorable and she rocked those cowgirl boots. Still can’t get over the golden lighting from this session!

August was a pretty great month! I traveled to Wyoming to have my own senior photos done and my best friend came with me! So naturally I had to take photos of her too!

Ok, I think I have the best spokesmodels! I love them all and I couldn’t pick just one photo! So September get 4 photos!

More magic from my spokesmodels! Pretty sure this was my favorite session from 2017 without a doubt! I had been dreaming of doing this shoot for years and I’m so happy it finally came true and it turned out PERFECT!!!

Hey gorgeous! This girl has some style and I still to this day want that dress! Loved this session with Kaycee!

Another favorite shoot… cause PINK! Annika had the perfect outfits (even her pup had a cute bow tie on). She was so natural in front of the camera, which made my job easier! Love it!

Such an amazing and blessed year! Lets make 2018 even better!
