We all know how life works; those things that happen unexpectedly, spontaneously, and out of the blue are usually the best things. This weekend was one of those moments!
I had rented some photo equipment for the weekend and a few hours before I was supposed to return everything, I sent my parents a text and said “Hey, we are doing a couples session tonight.” I went over and picked out their outfits, drove to a brand new location (that we were getting directions from someone as we were driving), and hadthe most productive 30 mins of my life!
I knew the exact spot, the exact location, and the exact execution of each photo. My lovely parents did AMAZING! I’m sure being married for 33 years helped, but they just fit together and looked at each other in such a genuine way. They were also down to do what ever I told them to; including piggy-back rides, kicking their shoes off, and even getting in freezing cold water! (I got in myself… yeah, it was cold!)
They were rocking their session and I was in love with every photo that formed in my view finder. The next best part was getting home, opening my laptop and seeing these amazing master pieces full size!
