6 Inspiring Quotes for Teenagers

Because I am so young, I am able to closely relate to the majority of my clients, high school seniors. Not too long ago I was in their shoes, wrapping up senior year and applying to colleges – it’s a lot of work! Being a teenager in today’s world isn’t always easy. Although the media makes it seem like teenagers are reckless partiers, there is a lot of hard work that the media fails to mention. I know I got stressed (and still do) so here are some uplifting inspiring quotes from the lovely Pinterest (I swear, the quotes section of Pinterest is like my Bible). Hopefully these will give you the little boost of courage and strength you need to finish out your senior year and begin the amazing adventure that lies ahead!

1. This quote is super applicable right now because everyone is counting down to graduation! Wahoo! But this quote really makes you rethink the last few weeks of school. As much as you want to get out of there – make the last few weeks count! Don’t check out just yet, make sure you study for your finals and finish strong! You can do it!

2. You are beautiful! Don’t let those crazy ‘unattainable standards for women’ get in your head. Who cares what anyone else thinks of you? It is your body and you are in control. If you feel good in your skin- great! Whether you wear makeup or not, it’s a personal decision. Makeup isn’t for impressing boys- it’s for you, and not wearing makeup doesn’t mean you aren’t beautiful. I know by the time I was a senior in high school, I didn’t even wear makeup… or do my hair! Did I care who judged me? Nope! I was comfortable in my skin and rocked that naked face!

So you are beautiful on the outside… and yes I’m going to be cliche… YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL ON THE INSIDE TOO! Everyone has a unique personality, let it show! Don’t hide your personality- that’s who you are! Be proud!! Life gets so much better when you are completely yourself and don’t care what people think. Chances are they are like you! I used to hide the part of my personality that was wild, crazy, and hyper because I thought people would think I was weird. But once I accepted that, people realized how much fun I was. And even better, I met my boyfriend who is just as crazy, weird and hyper as I am!

Embrace yourself – inside and out!

3. Going along with the last quote, just because someone doesn’t see your beauty, doesn’t mean it isn’t there. Don’t let others define you. If someone can’t see how awesome and amazing you are, that stinks for them. But don’t let them decrease your self worth. Just brush them off and continue being AWESOME!

4. I am a huge believer in the glass being half full. I’m that person that could have the worst experience ever and still find at least one positive thing that came from it. The best advice I can give you is to always stay positive and find the good in something that looks like it’s all bad. Being more positive can and will change your life. Try it… I dare you (;

5. Super important as you end this chapter of your life called high school and enter the next chapter in your life – whatever it may be. It can be scary to leave everyone and everything you know and totally jump into something new and unfamiliar. But the best thing you can do is submerge yourself in this new experience! You are going to have completely new experiences, you are going to meet new people and just know the next chapter will be completely new. High school prepares you pretty well, but it’s nothing like the real world. Even if you are going to college, it is completely different! But it’s a good different. Don’t be scared because it will be amazing. It’s a journey and an adventure! Have fun with the next chapter in your life!

6. Lastly, be proud of yourself! You have accomplished some amazing things in high school! Graduation itself is a huge accomplishment. All the tests you studied for and passed to get you to where you are is such a great achievement! Getting accepted to college or getting that awesome job is a huge accomplishment! I am proud of you and I want each and every one of you to succeed! Keep up the good work!

I hope you found this post helpful and you can apply some of these to your life. Best of luck with the last few weeks of the semester!
